For some reason I was reading back though my old blog postings. I’m talking, the very first ones. Maybe because I just hit the two year mark I suppose. Anyway, I realized something. I have got a serious case of the the Mom Genes (NOT Jeans!!!) As I was reading, I was laughing, sometimes out loud, because I was cracking myself up. Then I was reading the comments people have left me. They also cracked me up. I was reliving some very odd and funny moments and I could hear my “followers” actually speaking their comments to me.
When I started blogging, I suppose you could say my posts were closer to actual epiphanies than they are now. Today I mostly, when I do, blog about Collin and the great stuff he does. (Which still crack me up, just in a different way) And no one really comments (MOM- you DO NOT need to comment that you are “no one”). This could be for a number of reasons. One, my commenters aren’t really blogging much themselves anymore either. I mean, it’s been more than SIX MONTHS since Angela and Bradley have blogged. (And I’m pretty sure that Angela had a post at some point discussing blogging in a timely manner and not letting such long amounts of time pass between posts…) More than a YEAR since Robert or Dayna have blogged, Charish deleted her blog and Devin never really commented on my blogs anyway. Or it could be because I don’t have funny bank stories to tell about ATMs and counting cash and chewing gum and whatnot. I’m the only one interested in my son. Which is fine, don’t get me wrong. I’ve just come to terms with the fact that I should probably change my blog title from “Erin’s Epiphanies” to “Mom Genes” because I’ve got a serious case!
Lol! I told you I still read all my favorite blogs! :P I'm HORRIBLE at commenting, though, I'm a little better at doing that on Facebook but not much. Personally I'm glad to be reading more about Collin and less about stupid customers, they make my skin crawl! ;) Keep the posts coming! I'm thinking about starting a new blog, more anonymous, and more craft/home focused? What do you think?
ReplyDeleteI read your blog too...it is fun to compare collins :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't been blogging as much lately, nor reading. But I usually read yours once a week or more. Depends how often I make it to my own blog to check the link! lol
ReplyDeleteHaha,,,another reason is probably because alot of us have babies. I'm lucky to be able to read through someone's entire post sometimes. lol It's our new lives ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a college student, so most of the time, I have the opportunity to procrastinate from homework by looking up and reading tons of blogs...
ReplyDeleteMy most frustrating (kind of) bloggy issue is that because my blog's anonymous and 'secret,' I feel like I don't have many readers! The thing I like about an anonymous blog is that I can really say exactly what I'm feeling and never worry too much about offending people!
I read your blog! I usually have to catch up on them late though :(
